CBD Fair | The 26th China (Guangzhou) International Building Decoration Fair & Guangzhou International Sanitary and Bath Ware Fair Rounded Off!

The 26th China (Guangzhou) International Building Decoration Fair (“CBD (Guangzhou)”) hosted by China Foreign Trade Centre Group, Ltd. and China Building Decoration Association, supported by China National Forest Products Industry Association and China Furniture & Decoration Chamber of Commerce came to a successful conclusion on July 11. The 2024 Guangzhou International Sanitary and Bath Ware Fair (“CBS (Guangzhou)”) hosted by China Foreign Trade Guangzhou Exhibition Co., Ltd. (CFTE) and Red Star Macalline Group Corporation Ltd. also wrapped up concurrently.

The 26th CBD (Guangzhou) 2024, as the “Debut Platform for Champion Enterprises” under the theme of “Building and Decorating Ideal Homes, Serving New Patterns”, has formed a “5+1 Layout” integrating “Customized Decoration, Window & Door, Smart Home, Material & Hardware & Machinery, Design, and Guangzhou International Sanitary & Bath Ware Fair”, featuring an exhibition area of nearly 400,000 square meters, more than 2,000 exhibitors, more than 100 high-end conferences and activities, and a total of 208,739 professional visitors of high business value from 116 countries and regions (with overseas visitors increasing by 174% year on year). Maintaining its industry leadership in exhibition scale, brand concentration, high-value visitors, and value-added services, this year’s edition had a “new look” in multi-channel empowerment, new track development, full-chain marketing, and domestic & international circulation. The concurrent event CBS (Guangzhou) also presented an ecological outlook of the building and decoration industry in all aspects.

The building and decoration industry is entering a new cycle of structural reform, which poses phased, short-term, and exterior influences, away from the internal growth momentum. Along with the ongoing industry reform and adjustment, the 26th CBD (Guangzhou) fully exerts its strength and resources to empower the building and decoration industry. These efforts manifest the vigor and significance of the industry and create more possibilities for increasing diversity of the consumer market. While shaping and reinforcing its core advantages, the CBD (Guangzhou) has been dedicated to supporting enterprises to move ahead free from uncertainties and stabilizing market conditions for industrial development for the generation and growth of new productive forces.

To meet the needs of the entire industry for “overseas development”, CBD (Guangzhou) has been actively promoting CBD World-Connect by various means, such as inviting professional purchasers from Greece, Italy, Russia, Japan, Korea, Iran, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia and other countries and organizing a number of international supply-demand exchanges for branded enterprises. In order to fully exert its advantages of resources as a “national” platform to promote domestic enterprises worldwide. Also, CBD World-Connect brings in high-quality foreign enterprises in building the “dual circulation” pattern in which domestic economic cycle plays a leading role while international economic cycle remains its extension and supplement.

Challenges bring opportunities while reform boosts growth. The successful conclusion of the CBD (Guangzhou) at its 26th edition highlighted its tenacity and strength and indicated the great potential for a promising future of the building and decoration industry.

The CBD (Guangzhou) will continue to leverage its resources to promote business transformation from an exhibition platform to an industry-empowering platform serving the whole year for the whole chain in all channels with focus on dealers, decorators, designers, foreign traders, new media, and public architectural designers. In 2025, the “5+1” Layout will be upgraded into the "Three Ecologies" strategy, encompassing Indoor Space, Building Exteriors & Outdoor Environment, and Material & Hardware & Machinery.
